Dwyer LLC Secures Settlement in Billion Dollar TelexFree MDL

From the beginning of this case, Mr. Craft maintained his innocence. He cooperated with the DOJ, the SEC, the bankruptcy court, and now we can add the MDL plaintiffs to that list. I believe that Judge Hillman’s approval of this settlement recognizes the value of Mr. Craft’s present and continued cooperation in this case.

Dwyer LLC Secures Settlement in Billion Dollar TelexFree MDL

Boston – July 28, 2020

On July 28, 2020, Judge Timothy Hillman gave his final approval of the $100,000 settlement of Defendants Joseph Craft—the former CFO of TelexFree—and Craft Final Solutions, Inc., dismissing the action against Craft and related entities with prejudice. At the July 22, 2020 hearing on the motion for final approval of the settlement before Judge Hillman, Lead Plaintiffs’ Attorney Robert Bonsignore praised Craft’s extensive cooperation, saying “Mr. Craft has more than come through with evidence that will benefit all class members.” According to Bonsignore, the Craft settlement “serve[d] as an icebreaker that . . . has incentivized other defendants to come to the settlement table.”

“From the beginning of this case, Mr. Craft has maintained his innocence. He cooperated with the DOJ, the SEC, the bankruptcy court, and now we can add the MDL plaintiffs to that list” said Thomas Dwyer, Craft’s attorney. “I believe that Judge Hillman’s approval of this settlement recognizes the value of Mr. Craft’s present and continued cooperation in this case.”
